Learn the Story Behind Side Porch Daiquiris

Named for its inviting exterior, Side Porch Daiquiris boasts not only a side porch, but a courtyard and outdoor kitchen as well. The rustic, authentic Cajun style bar was made possible with the dreams of our owner and a lot of hard work.

Long before the grand opening on February 1, 2009, we were busy gathering materials from a 100-year-old house that we personally tore down. One of the special "native" touches came with the wood floors recycled from Historic Cinclare Sugar Mill in Brusly, Louisiana. Though rebuilding had not been originally planned, in 2008, days before our original grand opening, Hurricane Gustav ripped our roof off and delayed the opening for 5 months. Just 6 months after opening, we found ourselves building again. This time we expanded by adding 2 new bathrooms designed to resemble outhouses...including modern plumbing.

Drawn to our Southern Hospitality, regulars have become like family and everyone is welcome. We offer the best homemade Daiquiris with over 100 variations. Featuring local talent as well as well-known artists, we offer live music every week. The fun always seems to escalate with themed, special occasion parties. Our annual Halloween Costume Party always brings a crowd.
